Job Description
Supplier Management
- Source for suitable raw materials and suppliers for production
- Build rapport with our existing supplier to facilitate and improve current contract terms.
Production Planning
- Create and improve the efficiency of material sourcing processes
- Determine efficient shipping mode for raw materials
Raw Material & Fabric Knowledge
- Heavily involved with Research and Development processes for new product developments with category managers and product lead.
- Recommend new raw material improvements for production quality and efficiency.
- Possess advanced fabric knowledge and fabric bank book (basically a fabric genius!)
Costing & Profit Margin
- Contribute to improving product margin.
- Estimate, negotiate, and facilitate selecting, ordering, and purchasing raw materials within a given budget.
Inventory Management
- Construct a healthy inventory holding to make the production line sustainable
- Negotiate appropriate MOQ with suppliers
Quality Control
- production materials are purchased & restock in a timely manner, alternative raw materials suppliers' network expansion, costing, and margin KPI are met.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Studies/Management or equivalent
- At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Candidate fluent in English (oral and written)
- Possess procurement communication skills; affinity for numbers; technical knowledge and has a high attention to details
- Strong leadership skills with a solution-oriented working style.
- Knowledgeable in SAP system specifically in the fabric manufacturing line
