Job Description
ESL Malaysia is looking for an experienced Streaming & Broadcast Engineer, with a strong focus on gaming and esports and willing to work full-time to join the team of the world's largest esports company. We are looking for someone experienced in broadcast & IT technology that wants to further their career in the games and media industry.
Focusing on providing streaming workflow solutions and maintaining studio and broadcast systems to a high standard. A Streaming Engineer is part of the team responsible for technical execution and delivery of live event streams and recordings. With a key focus on both onsite operation and offsite engineering, the Streaming Engineer will also work to maintain current technical standards and quality, while also ensuring reliability and helping deliver content as needed by production on schedule.

Future Task and Responsibility:
- Onsite and offsite engineering for all streaming and recording needs.
- Manage distribution and delivery for live content for both digital and linear platforms.
- Setup, testing, operation, monitoring and live support during broadcasts and development cycles.
- Working closely with IT Event staff ensure reliable and robust workflows.
- Allocation, preparation and managing streaming infrastructure.
- Building and maintaining streaming hardware and equipment.
- Configure physical encoders and streaming servers.
- Prepare and pack equipment for global shipping.
- Technical troubleshooting and remote support for external productions.
- Provide input on selection, purchase and setup technical workflows and solutions.
- Create, manage and update internal diagrams, documents and records.
- Work with in-house video team to maintain, upgrade and manage archive storage.
Job Requirements
Must haves:
- Fluent English written and verbal
- Able to work under pressure and with flexible working hours.
- Expert computing skills for both hardware and software
- Experience and understanding of live streaming platforms, delivery technology
- Knowledge of video encoding standards and formats.
- Technical experience with live streaming software and/or hardware.
- Understanding of networking and knowledge of IT infrastructure.
Nice to haves:
- Interest in esports and gaming
- Client/customer focused mentality
- Background in IT, software development or programming
- Background in Broadcast Engineering or Production
- Technical knowledge of broadcast hardware and equipment
- Linus knowledge/skills
