Job Description

The League Operations & Community Manager is responsible for the preparation, execution, and post-production of professional esports competitions. He/she ensures the fulfillment of the corresponding formal and organizational requirements while acting as the first point of contact between the players and the organization.
  • Experience in tournament administration and refereeing - you should know about the different tournament formats with their pros and cons.
  • Knowledge of building online video game communities.
  • Identify event & tournament, best practices and ensure smooth league’s operation.
  • Observe and track the company’s tournament activations.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day execution of League Operations
  • Evaluate league management, identify opportunities for improvement.
  • A tournament master - you live for brackets and tournament design and naturally see the program flow
  • Provide great service and assistance to internal and external operators of tournaments.
  • Forge meaningful relationships with the esports community (i.e PlayStation’s community) to gather feedback, identify needs and obligations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.



Job Requirements

  • Use your knowledge to create rules and regulations for our tournaments.
  • Be a major part of running our tournaments be it either online or offline.
  • Resolve any issues pertaining to players, online or offline.
  • Secure the competitive integrity of our tournaments.
  • Foster and build an online community in Malaysia around our esports tournament platform.
  • An advanced understanding of online and live league operations 
  • Organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High attention to detail, ability to multitask, and maintain composure
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize
  • Ability to build strong relationships built on mutual trust
  • Motivated individual with an ability to work independently with guidance
  • Ability to work beyond normal working hours, work on weekends, and travel internationally when needed
  • Proficient with MS Office, G Suite, Social Media, and Community Forums
  • Passionate about the industry and the PlayStation community
  • Excellent knowledge/familiarity with PlayStation gaming scene - if you’ve lived, worked, or actively followed esports and PlayStation in South East Asia, a huge plus.
  • Excellent communication skills whether via email, face-to-face, or presentations
  • Proactive and a self-starter - you set priorities and don’t wait for problems
  • Strategic, with an analytical background

Desirable Assets
  • Fluency in more than 2 languages preferably include Japanese
  • A gamer/an esports expert
  • Most comfortable in a culturally diverse environment
