Job Description

• Responsible to develop and execute test automation scripts and automation frameworks 
• Contributing to the development and promotion of design and coding standards for automated testing scripts 
• Participate in planning & design of test automation 
• Develop reusable functions and components that can be used to maintain and extend automated tests for multiple projects with maximum reuse of code 
• Develop test scripts that perform both batch and interactive tests automatically 
• Design data-driven, modular scripts that allow tests to be maintained or extended without additional script coding 
• Review project information such as Use Cases, User Interface specifications, and technical specifications to understand the system workflow and business requirements 
• Review manual test cases, executing where necessary, to understand the low level detail and identify functions required to enable scripting/coding 
• Identify application components to be automated based on both the business priority and expected benefit of automated testing 
• Provide level of effort and schedule estimates for test script development work
• Participate in reviews and inspections that pertain to the inputs to test automation as well as the test automation code 
• Maintain test scripts, making changes where necessary in order to maintain their proper functioning as applications and data change 
• Execute automated test scripts for both functional and regression testing cycles. 
• Document application problems found using automated tests, including scripting steps and data needed to reproduce the problem 
• Execute automated test scripts, analyze & report test results and report test execution progress to the team lead or project manager 
• Participate in ongoing process improvement efforts to ensure test automation is promoted and applied effectively
• Provide automation expertise and assistance to both technical and non-technical team as needed.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in scripting using HP UFT
• Minimum of 2+ years’ coding/developer experience especially in VBScript, C language, Java language.  
• Familiar with Mainframe Host scripting using HP UFT 
• Familiar with HP ALM Quality Center
• Familiar with Robotic Process Automation Tools; Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism
• Proven experience in Test Automation and Robotic Process Automation
• In-depth knowledge of test automation tools, techniques, methods and procedures. 
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of software test methodologies.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision 
• Strong sense of ownership and good follow thru skills
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
