Job Description
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Database Security Management
- HA and DR solution implementation
- Best practice development
- Decommissioning, Migration
- Database Consolidation/Collocation
- Database Modeling,Cloning, upgradation
- Database support for Application development and Architecting
- Development of training modules and conduct in-house Database architecture and design knowledge
- Query tuning, DB performance tuning (DB/OS level optimization).
- Identify non-intuitive monitoring tasks
- Quarterly review of OS patches
- Automation using off the shelf technologies or scheduled home- grown script
- Work out Training plan and Implement Cross-skilling
Job Requirements
- Diploma/degree in Electronics / Computer minimum
- 10+ years overall experience, min 5 years as an Oracle DBA (Oracle Database/ Enterprise Manager/Grid Control 11g/12c) HA, Backup and Recovery experience (i.e. RMAN, Import/Export, Active Data Guard)
- Strong shell scripting / Unix / Linux / AWK / Perl, PL/SQL scripting
- Oracle Enterprise Manager 12C experience is a must.
- General OS (Unix/Linux/Windows), Storage, SAN and Networking experience
- Experience in Various Oracle versions (8i,9i,10g,11g,12c)
- Experience in oracle and SQL required.
- Good knowledge of all reporting within this domain
- Experience in OVM is desired.
