In this role, you will act as the written voice for the wide variety of products on Dropee. Your words will often be the first point of engagement that customers have with our products. Furthermore, your tone & writing style will play a crucial role in formulating first impressions and influencing buyer conversions. You will also have the opportunity to make evidence-based recommendations on online visual merchandising - evaluating effectiveness and implementing improvements along the way.   • Write high-quality, SEO-friendly content for product pages across multiple categories. This includes Food & Beverages, Household & Cleaning Supplies, Health & Beauty, and various FMCG categories.
  • Edit and revise product page copy to ensure proper usage of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and formatting. 
  • Conduct research on products to fully understand their features and benefits - and then translate this knowledge into persuasive product copy for the relevant B2B target audience.
  • Ensure that Dropee’s products rank consistently in the Top 10 results on local SERPs
  • Consistently track the performance and take ownership of your work - analysing, evaluating, and identifying areas for implementing improvements as you go
  • Occasionally, you may be required to write and update copy for supplementary website content or user guides (FAQ, About Us Shipping Policies, etc.).
  • Beyond written content, you are highly encouraged to recommend better ways of online visual merchandising and presenting product information. You will do this by researching and gathering evidence-based data on industry best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with our Graphic Designer and contribute ideas towards the production of multi-channel marketing materials when necessary (e.g. printed materials for offline events, copywriting for online promotions, etc.)  

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in writing compelling content for digital audiences (B2B experience is an advantage)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fantastic grammar and a flair for creativity
  • Strong track record of creating successful web content and driving positive change, ideally within the e-Commerce or retail industries
  • Resourcefulness and extreme attention to detail
  • A working knowledge of SEO and how it applies to content marketing
  • A demonstrated ability to tailor marketing messages (tone and style) to suit the needs of different B2B audiences
  • Adept at multitasking and adhering to multiple concurrent deadlines
  • Knowledge of web analytics & SEO tools (e.g. Google Analytics, SEMrush/Ahrefs) is desirable
