Job Description
- Prepare big data infrastructure to be analysed by Data Scientists.
- Design, build and integrate data from various resources, and big data management.
- Research on Data Management methodologies to improve the performance of data storage, retrieval and security.
- Research for latest best practices of data management.
- Writing complex SQL/NoSQL queries on the data to make sure it is easily accessible, works smoothly.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the application.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and documentation.
- Ability to communicate clearly with business users and project managers.
Job Requirements
- Languages: Python or Java programming
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL
- Strong knowledge in Excel and CSV
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiar with continuous integration
- Diploma or University degree
- Familiar with ETL tools
- Familiar with Hadoop ecosystem
- Familiar with NoSQL
