Job Description

• To perform procurement/sourcing/purchasing functions including supplier selection, supplier quality management, price negotiations and general cost reductions
• To monitor suppliers' performance in line with KPI or any contractual obligations
• To continuously review the existing purchase order & delivery order processes and implement  improvement, where necessary
• To ensure clear audit trails and records are available to justify/back-up all procurement decisions
• To look for supply chain efficiencies and opportunities in consolidating cargos to reduce cost
• To conduct demand forecasting and managing inventory and ensure optimum inventory levels to avoid shortage
• To prepare reports for the management

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years of procurement & purchasing experience as a manager in similar industries is Required and preferred as the incumbent will be leading a team of staff
• Broad knowledge of Customs and freight forwarding procedures and documentations
• Experienced in sourcing/purchasing from overseas' suppliers is a MUST
• Have some knowledge of SST claiming procedures
• Hands-on approach combined with ability to manage from holistic perspective
• Responsible, dedicated and able to work under minimum supervision
• Competent, eager to learn company's procedures and processes
