About The Job

Role Purpose:
The Senior executive - Accounts Payable plays a key role in the finance department and is responsible for the ends to ends activities of payables process like invoice processing, payments and vendor management. Perform monthly close tasks and provide reports to stakeholders in accurate & timely manner and ensure vendor payments are processed on time.

This person will also be managing end-to-end General Ledger activities like Bank reconciliation, Fixed Asset management, staff travel expenses analysis and advance reconciliation, performing other scheduled and unscheduled deliverables. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Handle day to day accounts payable process activities like clearing mailbox, performing invoice quality checks, coordinating invoices approvals, accounting, payments etc.
  • Interact with vendors over call and/or emails in receiving invoices, reconciliation issues, seeking clarifications, follow-ups, handling queries and maintain excellent relationship
  • Manage the monthly reporting deliverables such as preparing accrual trackers, Journal postings, creditors ageing analysis with comments on overdue invoices
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statements
  • Analysis of staff expenses, perform staff reconciliations, preparation & posting of weekly journals and month end accruals
  • Review Fixed Asset Register, depreciation calculations and posting month end entries.
  • Provide various analysis reports like recruitment & training cost analysis, advertisement cost analysis, pitch cost & travel cost analysis to help in decision making process.
  • Act as point of contact for supplier’s finance teams and act promptly to resolve any disputes or queries
  • Monitor ageing of payables and execute payment strategy
  • Contribute to team meetings and brain storm sessions
  • Support the Accounts receivable team with raising quotations, invoices, quality checks and act as point of contact for client’s finance teams

Job Requirements

Professional Skills: 
  • Graduate/Bachelor degree in Finance or semi-qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • 2 Years of relevant working experience, preferably in an Agency.
  • Experience in handling Accounting: Receivables, Payable, General Ledger, monthly close, inter-company or Record to Report process
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbally
  • Focus on accuracy and quality
  • Enjoys some fun as well

Key Experiences: 
  • Experience in accounting processes, reporting and financial analysis
  • Industry experience in advertising is an advantage
