Job Description

• Responsible for the monthly closing and reporting of the Hong Kong holding structure of Comberry. Coordination with local Head of Accounting and central teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Analysis of complex accounting transactions and review of accounting impacts.
• Coordinate group and statutory audits with group auditors
• Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place.
• Provide technical guidance on GAAP for the accounting teams at Comberry (HongKong, China (mainland), Malaysia, Germany, India). Experience with international accounting is required, though not necessary in all listed locales.
• Ensures that company financial reports are prepared in compliance with company policies and directives, HKFRS reporting requirements.
• Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations to ensure compliance with GAAP and group policies.
• Ensures that the financial systems are constantly improved to meet GAAP requirements and suggests changes, if necessary.
• Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits. Further responsible for the implementation of agreed-upon recommendations resulting from audit findings.
• Is responsible for Corporate Tax, Treasury and Risk management with related issues and reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting (plus a CPA certification preferable).
• Minimum of 3 years of combined Public Accounting and Private Industry accounting experience within a multinational business.
• International accounting experience is a must, experience with Hong Kong accounting is a plus.
• Experience with basic accounting systems, monthly group reporting and tax compliancy
• Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
• Leadership skills – ability to manage a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments
