Job Description

The Product Development Manager (PDM) is accountable for ensuring continuity of projects throughout the organization through effective strategic project planning, market research, cross-functional team leadership & coordination and costs management. This position is responsible for contributing to the overall direction and vision of the group objectives by evolving software product with new features and optimize existing application features. You will report to the Operations leader based in Hong Kong and IT Director based in Delhi. 

Essential Job Duties: 
  • Analyze technical requirement from Clients, Internal Business Team (Operations, Finance, others) and development risks with IT teams, define new features /enhancement tasks /projects, obtain buy-in on projects identification and prioritization based on business needs. 
  • Collaborate with the business and IT to provide technical direction to create product prototypes (platform demos) on systems analysis, design, development, testing and deployment. Test and iterate the platforms – to ensure that platforms are engineered appropriately. 
  • Benchmark Product features with market competition and come up with new product advancement ideas. 
  • Facilitate peer reviews, document technical requirements (transform user’s mental model), design sessions, and architectural reviews (into the user interface) as needed, to the final implementation and monitor the product life.
  • Create improvements and value through group objectives and goals to drive revenue growth – keep customer needs through research and market data, assess competition by comparing products to propose product enhancement needs and assist in product marketing communications objectives with Operations and Business Development team. 
  • Accountable for project scope & timelines, people resources / work taskforce, budget, communication, implement change control procedures and effective delivery of the solution into production. 
  • Ensure effective handoff to operations for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. Identify and solve the problems on the platforms in a timely manner. 
  • Participate in technical advisory role with operations team/customers as required. 
  • Create, user flow diagrams, storyboards, suggest visual designs of the platforms and present best practices of the wireframe. 
  •  Provide regular management reports to leaders for projects on deliverables, impacts/challenges and measurable. Continuously update and communicate the platforms’ interface and experience. 
  • Ensure consistent design and visual elements across the products for corporate branding identity (eg. logos, color schemes, complete look and feel). 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Technology/Software or related business discipline. 
  • 5+ years in an advanced management role (preferably with Software Product management and driving product development roadmap, experience on systems development working in a matrix environment).
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation and organizational skills. 
  • Strong sense in digital marketing trend and good knowledge of corporate technology solutions. 
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, strong analytical skills, project management and problem solving skills required.
  • A certified project manager (CPM) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus.
