About The Job

  • Primary Role Responsibilities:
    1)  Creation of part article number with technical details and drawing for sourcing purpose
    • Examine the customers’ part specification or drawing and develop the internal controlled drawing.
    • Performing part/article weight calculation for warehouse and logistic planning purposes.
    • Communicating with Sales/customers, quality engineers, and sourcing/suppliers to incorporate the key details into the drawing.
    • Ensuring Engineering Change Notice (ECN) are issued and closed accordingly with updated drawing.
    • Responsible to make product standardization.
    • Maintain and ensure all quality records include customer drawings are kept in order and retrievable.
    2)  Providing technical support to the internal team (Sales, Sourcing, Quality) for various technical queries concerning fastening technology.
    • Identifying the potential part design problems in drawing and able to communicate and proposing practical solutions to the internal team.
    • Supporting sales to translate the technical details to communicate with customers.
    • Supporting sourcing team to review supplier’s drawing
    Secondary Role Responsibilities:
    3)  Providing technical supports to fastening machines/tools in the area of.
    • To perform fastening machine/tool (PEMserter, riveting tool, etc.) installation and commissioning
    • To carry out routine machine maintenance services to contract customers.
    • To identify spare parts requirements during service or troubleshooting.
    • To propose possible assembly automation or integration for any fastening machine/tools.
    • To provide machine troubleshooting supports and machine applications advice supports to customers.
    • To work with the internal product solution team in promoting the related fastening machine and tools.

Job Requirements

Requirements
 Candidate must possess at least a Degree or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma.
 At least 2-3 years of working experience in supporting engineering roles or related experiences in the mechanical or fastening hardware Industry.
 Required Skill: Solidworks or Autocad
 Experience in mechanical or fastening hardware with related fastening machine/tool troubleshooting would be an advantage.
