Job Description

• The main liaison for Bosch Malaysia’s stakeholders in regards to local and international tax topics, tax authorities, and external advisors
• Manage and organize Bosch Malaysia’s local tax functions
• Supervise the implementation of processes and checks for Indirect Taxes in Malaysia (SST, GST), and other ASEAN countries
• Governance of multi-faceted tax functions, not limited to; Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance topic for all Bosch Malaysia’s legal entities and its foreign permanent establishment, International transactions (e.g. withholding taxes, permanent establishments, etc), Personal income tax topics (e.g. deduction on salaries of employees)
• Provide advisory services for new business models within Bosch, in accordance to Bosch Group’s policies
• Provide support in contract negotiations (e.g. knowledge of tax clauses) and transfer pricing documentation
• Define the process and interface between tax department and Bosch Malaysia’s business units
• Coordinate the related tax audits activities in Bosch Malaysia

Job Requirements

• Holder of Professional Certificate / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accountancy or its equivalent
• At least 7 years of professional experience in the field of Taxation. Added advantage if:
  • Previous employment is within the Big 4 audit firms, or any MNC)
  • Knowledge in international taxation topics
  • Experience in dealing with tax authorities
• Keen interest in keeping abreast on Indirect Taxes in Malaysia (and ideally in other ASEAN countries) topics
• Solid foundation of business processes, accounting, IT (especially SAP, Microsoft Office)
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Role is based in Penang and requires mobility to travel between all of Bosch Malaysia’s location (Penang & Kuala Lumpur)
