Job Description
Binary.com’s Marketing team oversees all our marketing and advertising initiatives, such as our affiliate programme, social media presence, webinars, and emails. As our Content Strategist, you will help us to craft copy and content that will engage our audiences –– both online and offline.
You will:
- plan, write, edit, test, and improve content, including interface language, product and education materials, product names, navigational nomenclature, video, animation, and other content for Binary.com;
- help apply and maintain consistency with content standards;
- collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, product marketers, engineers, and ops to serve our audience;
- share your work and give feedback to teammates;
- promote content strategy and mentor other team members on writing, especially for user experience; and
- recommend and implement new strategies for communicating product-related
information to our users.
Job Requirements
You are a strategic thinker who loves to communicate in plain English.
You have a knack for simplifying complex, technical specifications into attractive,
customer-facing benefits.
You also have a keen eye for detail and a flair for making other people’s writing more readable and accurate.
To excel in this role, you must have:
- experience in working with content for web or mobile usages;
- experience with social or financial products and services;
- excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- creative problem-solving abilities; and
- a portfolio of your work that shows a breadth of experience across a range of content types. You may wish to show us content that you have created for user interfaces, microcopy, user education, direct or transactional emails, style guides, or product launch.
- a degree or practical experience in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field
- experience in information architecture or responsive content designing
