The Business Development & Sales team at Biji-biji & Me.reka are dynamic, feedback-driven, and energetic. The team is always looking to grow the business and expand our impact alongside our partners, clients, and organizations.

We are looking for a driven Grant Writing intern that has exceptional researching, writing, and proofreading skills. The ideal candidate shall have a strategic mind and be able to put together various moving components to design a proposal that meets all project objectives and stakeholder needs. We are on the hunt for an analytical, independent, and self-motivated intern, with an appetite for taking on real responsibility!

Responsibilities are to:
  • Assist in researching primary and secondary supporting evidence for pitched program design
  • Attend brainstorming sessions and assist in taking notes of discussion points and develop grant applications based on discussion points
  • Assist in drafting compelling grant applications that meet Request For Proposal (RFP) guidelines
  • Assist in preparing all supporting documents (curriculum vitae, budget, partnership letters, supporting research, etc)
  • Assist in proofreading the ready applications

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree or masters in business, sales, international development, sustainable development, public policy, law, English, journalism, education, or any other relevant field
  • Must have a mastery of the English language: Great spelling, punctuation, and grammar count.
  • Able to write succinctly and boil complex ideas down into simple explanations
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines
