Got a passion for ethical fashion? Join our fashion department and learn the whole process of slow fashion industry!

About the team:
We have a small yet lively department running the show, with tailors on the machines and sales targets all covered. Biji-biji Ethical Fashion (bijibijidesign.com) is a homegrown fashion label. Known for its functional and ethical bags collection made from discarded materials, Biji-biji Ethical Fashion has plans to expand its reach out of KL, to the rest of Malaysia and the rest of the world.

We are looking for proactive, independent, innovative interns with strong interest in increasing brand awareness, creating business relationships, managing our orders and good analytical skills. Attending bazaars and artisan markets will be part of your work. Hence, we are looking for interns who enjoy going for public events, engaging with customers, warm-natured and friendly.

You will work from our Production Facility in Klang. You may be expected to work on weekends.

Helping managers with entering and filing receipts
Compiling and sending quotations and invoices
Gathering market and customer information
Checking quantities of goods on display and in stock
Recording sales and order information
Learn about reviewing sales performance, against targets

This internship is flexible to draw on your strengths and interests so as long as you have a passion, we'd love to hear from you!

What you will learn:
As a small team, you will be able to receive intensive training and understand the various tasks quickly. In this internship, you will be able to learn about many different aspects that are involved in a slow fashion industry and you will learn about the whole combination of ethical fashion awareness and society engagement. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody who is still exploring the field or who wishes to develop into an all-rounder.

Job Requirements

Background in Finance, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or any related field
Must possess excellent knowledge of the English language, able to communicate professionally both spoken and written (crucial).
Willingness to drive around and possession of own transportation
Familiar with Microsoft Words and Excel or Google G-suite
Able to work to deadline and long hours during bazaars
Be enthusiastic, curious and positive

Effectively deal with ad-hoc challenges, keep calm in pressing situations, be flexible with last-minute changes, and still have a positive attitude throughout :)

During your internship period, you are required to be familiar about our Ethical Fashion team vision and mission.
