Job Description

We are a pioneering social enterprise with multiple business divisions - ranging from Ethical Fashion, Disruptive Structure, Energy, and Me.reka. You will be able to choose any team that fulfil your best interests as long as you are passionate to learn about the impact of sustainability and society

Working closely with your supervisors, you will assist to execute strategic sales & marketing initiatives to maximize and achieve sales goals through marketing, our website and social media channels, public relations and internal team collaboration. 

Main Roles:
  • Working together within sales team in developing our database of leads and contacts to ensure their up to date and interested on our offerings;
  • Assist to work on proposal decks and marketing materials with a focus on creative contents to intrigue our potential clients
  • Assist to create a creative narrative for the brands, campaigns and any other projects
  • Take part in internal brainstorming to elaborate and implementing sales and marketing strategies

OUR TEAM 
Disruptive Structure (Klang): 
The team offers accessible, interactive and collaborative approaches to sustainability through arts installations and creative building for Business-to-business (B2B) projects. 
 
Ethical Fashion team (Klang): 
Biji-biji Ethical fashion (bijibijidesign.com) is a homegrown fashion label that is known for its functional and ethical bags collection made from discarded materials. 
 
Energy team (KL): 
Energy team creates interactive, educational and fun playgrounds that tackle energy challenges through education. 
 
Me.reka (KL): 
Me.reka (mereka.my) is an open-source education platform that advocates for learning outside the traditional classroom paired with unconventional fun. 

What you will learn: 
As a small team, you will be able to receive intensive training and understand the various tasks quickly. In this internship, you will be able to learn about many different aspects that are involved in business development and you will learn about the whole combination of sales strategy, sustainable brands and marketing. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody who is still exploring the field or who wishes to develop into an all-rounder.

Job Requirements

  • Education/Background/Interest: Business Development, Mass Communications, Business Management, Project Management, Marketing and Education/Training experience or any related field
  • Proficient in English written and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Skills in Docs, Sheets and Slides of G-suite is a must or Microsoft
  • Soft Skills: Great team player, ability to stay calm and positive, good communication and social skills, creative, openness to learn and try new things
 
Effectively deal with ad-hoc challenges, keep calm in pressing situations, be flexible with last-minute changes, and still have a positive attitude throughout :) 
 
During your internship period, you are required to be familiar about each team vision and mission. 
 
We operate mainly from our HQ in Pandamaran, Klang. However, we have a second office in Me.reka Makerspace, Publika, KL. This role may require you to be working from either of the two offices, depending on your supervisor’s advice and project needs.
