About The Job

  • Develop and implement health and safety plans, data capture and ongoing analysis.
  • Maintain internal and regulatory reporting of data collection and performance monitoring of scheduled waste, industrial effluent and scrubber management programmes
  • Oversee and review health and safety documentation and data
  • Participate in the Investigation and reporting of any incident, near miss, dangerous occurrence, property damage, occupational disease and poisoning
  • Coordinate safety and environmental audits and actions to remedy faults 
  • Consult with all departments to provide expertise and ensure compliance with standards, processes, permits, policy, practice, regulatory agencies, legal and other requirements
  • Manage the maintenance and implementation of safety programmes, compliance plans and initiatives
  • Secretary of the EHS Committee
  • Serve as company Environmental Management Representative (EMR) 
  • Ensure the company meets all its legislative compliance obligations with DOSH, DOE, AELB, MOH and Fire codes
  • Acts as primary contact for all regulatory agencies for inspections, permitting, reporting
  • Maintain compliance with permits, government regulations and other industry practices
  • Keep abreast of any safety, health and environmental law or regulation changes/updates/new that impact the organization
  • Conduct and participate in periodic EHS meetings to discuss workplace safety and  regulatory concerns and opportunities
  • Keep the Operations Director/Manager and Human Resources Manager up to date on matters relating to environmental, health and safety
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships and communications with Operations, Managers, Supervisors and employees
  • Special projects as required

Job Requirements

Education: SPM / STPM or equivalent. 
Skills: Safety and Health officer, internal auditing and site inspection
Work Experience: Minimum 1 years’ experience in EHS
Others Job Requirement: Able to advice, give instruction clearly and effectively.
