Job Description
You are expected to develop the company’s technology strategy and recommend suitable technical solutions. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. Whilst the backend system is the core of the platform, building a user-friendly consumer front end is also key.

- Develop the company’s technology strategy and recommend suitable technical solutions
- Develop and manage the company’s technology department efficiently and securely
- Communicate with and manage external vendors (if any) for specific regulated functionalities
- Assess and advise new systems and infrastructure that meet or complement business requirements
- Execution and management of technology related projects
- Ensure that all new additions / modifications to the platform are tested before deployment
Finance Engine (Backend) Development Management
- Familiarise with, enhance and maintain the existing engine
- Complete the development work on new modules and features of the platform as within the agreed upon parameters and timeline
- Prepare test scripts, manage and perform all required testing on applications
- Maintain documentation and manuals for the application, security and infrastructure
Frontend Development Management
- Familiarise with, enhance and maintain the existing responsive web application
- Complete the development work on new modules and features of the platform as within the agreed upon parameters and timeline
- Optimise application for speed and scalability
- Carry out application test checks of specific functionality
- Involvement in design and ideation to understand product change requests
- Maintain documentation for frontend services
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in any technology-related field, preferably with a focus on software development.
- Experienced Python and Django
- Experience with frontend technologies (HTML5, J5, VueJS+NuxtJS)
- Experience with Git
- Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Experience in API-driven methodologies (RESTful) and standards
- Knowledge with transport protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, Socket, etc.)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes will be an advantage.
- Experience with financial services in particular investment will be an advantage.
- Excellent skills in spoken and written English.
