Job Description

We are looking for someone who specializes in cutting-edge, forward thinking work. 16TWO ACD (Copy) is someone with strong strategic knowledge, who can make intentional choices, and is excited to tackle new creative challenges every day.

You are hands on; a combination of creative powerhouse and team leader. You will become the voice of the ideas you create and should be able to lead and present work effectively, both internally and externally. You must have a passion for writing and is a natural storyteller. You should understand the narrative and history of a brand and the conversations that exist around it. You must be able to collaborate with other like-minded people to create brand-defining platforms that work in digital and traditional mediums.

What is this job about?
  • Help develop and review creative briefs that provide strategic insight and creative inspiration
  • Support the Executive Creative Director and work with ACD, Art to produce standout and strategically focused tactics, concepts and campaigns from ideation to production. 
  • Champion the brand and help craft/develop a unified brand voice.
  • Recommend new formats and storytelling tools to leverage
  • Take on appropriate projects and own them, start to finish
  • Manage and work independently, under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Lead concept presentations
  • Manage workloads to maximize productivity of the copy team, ensuring that everyone is busy and billable
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that deadlines and budgets are met
  • Develop good relationships with your clients
  • Work with account management to grow our business of existing clients
  • Work towards address performance, workflow, and quality issues and develop long-range plans for the content group
  • Lead the creative and content teams in development of concepts and execution of all projects
  • Assure that all copywriters are trained and, where needed, mentored to maintain the standards and expectations of the agency and the client, and to meet their own career goals
  • Demonstrate to clients that you understand their products and marketing challenges and are responsive to the strategic and creative needs
  • Study the creative marketplace and also understand the client’s competitors creative work 
  • Study clients industries and their competitors.


Job Requirements

  • An extensive amount of experience – 10 years of experience with a proven track record in a leadership capacity in a creative/advertising agency.
  • Breadth of experience – having led and created great work for big international brands, small organisations and everything in between. A strong portfolio and detailed explanation of your work will be expected.
  • A proven and consistent track record. A plus point, if your work was shortlisted or won awards. A showcase of the award winning entry and a presentation will be expected. 
  • You champion pitches and won. A presentation of your design rationale from the winning pitches will be expected.
  •  Ability to write for a wide range of brands
  • Excellent writing skills and a strength in speech, plus an appreciation for the symbiotic nature of copy and design
  • Proven experience with digital and/or social content production
  • Passionate about technology and innovation with an insatiable curiosity for how it applies to our industry
  • Impeccable attention to detail and an insatiable hunger to create world-class creative work
  • Strong organizational abilities, including time and resource management
