We are currently looking for a driven and enthusiastic intern to work on Me.reka's platform for legal-related matters. Me.reka Platform is a multi-stakeholder platform designed to bridge gaps between innovators and underutilized resources available at innovation hubs (research & development labs, design and prototyping studios, rapid (digital) manufacturing facilities, makerspaces and universities) to create an innovation-friendly and collaborative environment. It aims to unlock underutilized resources, providing inclusive access to technology for the application of advanced technologies, and creating new economic opportunities. 

This is a great opportunity to get involved with all types of legal matters that concern a small but growing business. If you are looking to gain experience in various legal areas with a lot of room for exploration and research, this is for you.

You will be recommended as an intern to our legal partner, Simrenjit in Tay & Co, and undergo training and education by him.

The focus of your training and education will be regarding the basic legal needs. The education and training will include, but is not limited to: 
  1. Research and drafting platform terms of service or terms of conditions or any related legal documents. Example of the platform that's similar to Me.reka Digital Platform is Airbnb and Upwork.
  2. Research on legal database to establish the legal framework for the platform T&C
  3. Be provided with training on how to use the database and how to do the research on the proper case law and statutes which applicable

You may be required by our legal counsel to attend at other locations as and when necessary for the purpose of your training and education. At the completion of your internship with Simrenjit, you may be given an internship under Me.reka for the implementation of your training and education.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Law or related Excellent understanding of the English language;
  • Writing skills: Must have a mastery of language: Great spelling, punctuation and grammar count, as well as the ability to write succinctly and boil complex ideas down into simple explanations
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, to meet deadlines
  • Organized, sequential, planned and detailed
